Monika draws on the generous spirit of West African dining in the heart of Deptford. Our menu moves from the iconic whole grilled Monika fish to beef suya, lamb chops, rice classics, sharing platters and cocktails.

The dish behind the name
It began with Monika fish.
Monika takes its name from the whole grilled fish created by 805 Restaurant Group pioneers Mr Frederick James and Mrs Damaris James. It remains a symbol of the group’s culinary heritage.
Our croaker is seasoned, chargrilled and served with Monika sauce. It is one signature on a menu that also celebrates grilled meats, jollof, small plates and food made for sharing.
