The Iconic Monika Fish

We named our restaurant after the famous and iconic Monika fish — a whole grilled dish created by the pioneers of 805 Restaurant Group, Mr Frederick James and Mrs Damaris James. Over the years, Monika fish has become a beloved favourite and a symbol of the rich culinary heritage and high standards the group is known for.

This whole grilled croaker fish is marinated in our special home seasonings and spices, then chargrilled to lock in a delicious smoky flavour — finished with a generous amount of our spicy Monika sauce.
